About
Katherine’s desire to understand people – their motivations, their desires and even their struggles - is what sparked her love for print design. When she looks at a person’s clothes or the furniture in their home, she sees more than the shapes, colors and patterns, she sees their subconscious mind. Through color theory and composition, people are able to freely express themselves.
Katherine’s focus of study encompasses compositional design and layouts, with emphasis on the placement and arrangement of visual elements focusing the viewer on particular points of interest. The position of the viewer can strongly influence the elements or product interest through shapes, color, placement and line. With there being a near infinite number of viewers each with their own distinct position from which to observe, Katherine’s inspiration is endless. We live in a world where styles are in constant flux and fresh images are always in demand. As such, Katherine feels compelled to be aware of these changes and possess the flexibility and imagination to stay ahead of the trends.
